@Budapestitest I don’t know.. but I doubt that it was “brought”.. as I know industrial hemp was brought (not the psychoactive one), there are genetic differences.. cannabis is one of the plants that grow everywhere (there is for example an east european subspecie) but only in certain climates it grows psychoactive and it takes an very long for the nature to convert an non-psychoactive one to a psychoactive one (my best bet is that it was there from before the continents broke up).. @opethspd Jamaicans are the nicest people you can ever meet. and trust me my mom was born and raised there. people living in the jungles like this would never do that considering it would be against their religion which they take very seriously. only time you would get beaten up like that is if you go to inner cities with alot of gang.

this is a perfect example of what not to do in jamaica. good way to get robbed or kidnapped….or video taping or takingp pictures can be bad too. the author othe cannabible books was held hostage with a knife after his pics when the men demanded thousands of dollars. fucked up place.
i myself smoke a bit of mary jane evry now and then and it makes me laugh how people get soo angry about a plant! i enjoy a puff but at the end of the day all it is a dried plant, no need for people to get so irate about it! enjoy it, use dont abuse, end of story
