  1. Are raw nuts and seeds readily available in Japan?

  2. Great! A vegetarian channel. Subbed.

  3. lol hotnesses

  4. I absolutely love your videos. I’ve just watched them all and they’ve really inspired me to go to Japan again. One problem I encountered when I went to restaurants was that everything contained either meat or egg. Is it hard for you to eat out?

    Please post more vids. :)

  5. ur so awesome man! i wonder jus like another poster asked, where do u get ur vegan groceries?

  6. Good shit dude! You might have answered this in another vid (this is the first one im watching), where do you buy most your vegan groceries in japan. Obviously you get the fruits and vegies at the super market, but specialty items like the tofu balls and curry, where do you normally buy them? At Costco or online or something? If you ever come to Tokyo we need to chill and shizzle

  7. not so cool at all. check the ingredients carefully. most of japanese food contains MSG. as for tofu you’d better do some research because it is very unhealthy!

  8. is that brown rice?

  9. Thanks for sharing pal.

  10. great recommendation! thanks. :)

  11. I agree, salt not only makes everything taste better, but it helps to draw out the moisture which basically concentrates the flavor.

  12. Awesome! Thick is okay, definitely a matter of preference. I made it again myself and added “okara” and a bit of flour to thicken it up and bump up the protein and fiber content.

*Okara is what is left over after making soy milk, basically ground soy bean pulp. Great nutritional value and very little taste.

  13. and if u want ur curry thinker add a potatoes and a little fenugreek leaves

  14. when u saute the onions add a pinch of salt with it
ur onions will turn out even better!

  15. I finally got around to trying to make this curry! Mine was a bit thick but still very tasty! Thanks :)

  16. Sounds good! I bet it also adds a little more depth in the flavor too.

    Thanks for the tip. :)

  17. I got inspired by your video to cook my own curry too. Thanks :)

Your curry looked a little runny so I gave it a litte twist to thicken it up like the actual japanese curry.

*Fry some flour with butter till golden brown, add in the curry powder and fry till fragrant. Add in some water and mix till you get a paste. Add the paste into the veggie and water and mix. You’ll immediately see the sauce thicken. and Viola…nice thick veggie curry :)

  18. LOL! Yeah, I have been told I look like Lex, especially the one on the series called “Smallville.” Have you seen that one?

  19. You have a Superman shirt on, but you look like Lex Luthor :o haha

  20. Yeah, Whole Foods should have them. Ask for TVP.

  21. Yeah, that would be perfect.

  22. looks delish! japanese pumpkin is soo good!

soy protein balls. never heard of them. can you get them at any grocery store or do you have to get them at a whole foods kind of store?

  23. Yea, I think I might try some yellow squash and zucchini with it. I usually cook those up as a side dish for some meals.

  24. Thanks! Do try it, but don’t limit yourself to the veggies I used. That is all I had at the time, but you can use pretty much any vegetable!

    Good luck and enjoy!

  25. This looks good man. I’m gonna have to give it a shot sometime with these ingredients.
